The 2011 Cadillac Ciel concept (pronounced “C-L,” being the French word for sky) is a four-door convertible. It was unveiled at the 2011 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Here, it is shown displayed a year later, at the same event.

For inspiration, Cadillac says its designers envisioned driving California’s Highway 1 in an open car, at sunset. The interior is trimmed in nickel plating and Italian olive wood.

The seats are heated and cooled and rear seat passengers have access to a storage drawer that contains niceties such as sun lotion, sun glasses and towels, and even aromatherapy. There are also blankets that deploy from the rear seat headrests , for when the temperature drops once the sun finally makes its exit.
