Design Notes Lite: 2007 GMT900s
This is the model I was referring to, with the interesting headlights and grille detailing.
You can compare it to what was actually produced, below.
Below, I’ve zoomed in on the front, for a better look at the somewhat intricate grille work and three-level lamps. Similar to the smaller Colorado, the parking light portion appears to have been planned above actual headlights.
I also received some pictures of a couple of GMC Sierra styling models but, as you will see, they appear to be from the final stages of the process. Most everything is in its place.
The reddish one, above, is the styling clay. It was photographed February 2, 2004.
The blue one below is a production 2007 Sierra. I couldn’t obtain a profile picture of an Extended Cab in time, so I included this Crew Cab.
Below is a rear shot of the same reddish model from early 2004. The only things that stand out as different to me are the black plastic surrounds on the bumper, and the tailgate guard, which has a spoiler-type shape on the production truck.
Not apparent here and barely apparent in the gallery-sized versions, the tail light lenses are slightly different. (I had to go to the native files and zoom in to be sure.)
